Arsenal and Manchester United Kickoff Rivals in Red Tour at SoFi Stadium This Summer

New York, NY (February 23, 2024) - Arsenal and Manchester United will kick off the United States Rivals in Red Tour this summer, on Saturday, July 27th, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. This will be a rematch of last summer’s blockbuster match at MetLife Stadium that saw Manchester United defeat Arsenal 2-0 in front of a sold-out crowd.

Arsenal is a London-based club founded in 1886 and is among the top clubs in the Premier League this season. The club has won 13 league titles and a record 14 FA Cups. English wingers Bukayo Saka and Reiss Nelson, Brazilian center-back Gabriel Magalhaes, and Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus lead Arsenal’s star-studded squad.

Arsenal Sporting Director, Edu, said: “Our plans for pre-season are taking great shape. Playing against two strong teams in great stadiums in front of so many of our supporters will provide Mikel and the squad with a strong test and great experience ahead of the new season.”

They hold the record for the largest crowd at a soccer match in U.S. history with 109,318 fans for a 2014 match against Real Madrid at Michigan Stadium. United is led by Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes, and English stars Marcus Rashford and Scott Francis McTominay, both developed in Manchester United's youth academy.
